I'm extremely wanting to set up a nano reef aquarium by converting my 20 gallon fresh into one. I went to my LFS and they told me the 2 things I would positively need is a protein skimmer and actinic lighting.

What type of lighting does live rock need?
I scantiness to make my 30 gallon a little nano reef tank but at the moment i'm planning fish only with tangible rock. So does live rock need that uncensored spectrum lighting to grow or does it go fine under just your mediocre fluro aquarium lights?
