hmm... i dont value you can. Id just go to petco or any other pet store and talk to them round it. If you did build it yourself it probably wouldnt work as well and im inevitable it wouldnt be that much more just to buy one.

Aquarium pump stopped working!?
I oblige a Top Fin 10 aquarium pump. I did a 25% water change and replaced the filter and rinsed the pump parts. Now it's not working. It'll hit on, and it spins, but it makes a terrible racket and it's not sucking water in to reveal it.
weather some of the tank water and pour it into the filter. I don't be subjected to a problem with Top Fin stuff, it's all I use because it's cheap and I've had the same filters for multifarious years. you just have to know how to work with them.
