How long should I cycle my 40 gallon aquarium?
I bear a 40 gallon aquarium that i used a couple years ago so its not new. I filled it with declorinated thin out saturday. I got the ph and temperature and everything else where it should be. How dream of should I wait until I add fish to the aquarium?
Until the succession is complete. Simply running water in the tank and filtering it does NOT run the tank. You must introduce an ammonia source into the the finest to get beneficial bacteria to grow.

Can i add a crayfish in my 40 gallon aquarium?
I oblige a 40 gallon malawi fish tank... i have 15 out of the ordinary mbuna species in it and lots of hiding places and caves.. they are all 1 - 2 inches in judge.. I am planning to include one or 2 cobalt blue crayfish... can I Add it to my aquarium?
Fraught Lady is right. The general rule is 1'' per gallon of water. So you should exclusively have 40 inches of fish. Did you add up the ADULT size of these fish to come putting them in there?
